TweetMinster is a public service that makes it easier to connect the public with politics using Twitter. TweetMinster allows people to track UK politics in real time, and to find and follow Members of Parliament (or invite them to use Twitter if they're not already doing so) and Prospective Parliamentary Candidates.

By encouraging participation and through open conversations, TweetMinster promotes better and more transparent communication between voters and elected representatives.

TweetMinster was inspired by http://tweetcongress.org/ and by a tweet conversation between MP Tom Watson and Alberto Nardelli. We designed it in a modular way, to keep it flexible in terms of layout and functionality. We're inspired with new ideas for it every day and we'll be adding more features over time to make our politicians and political culture more accessible, accountable and interactive.
