Bloom, one of the UK’s leading branding agencies came to us with a desire for a beautiful, engaging and relevant website that articulated their point of view in a richer contextual way.
We wanted the site to represent Bloom as a credible, bright and passionate branding agency using innovative and cutting edge digital tools to show how their simple and clear methodology is used to inspire their audience and initiate a dialogue with current and new clients.
In line with Bloom’s Victoriana flowers identity, there had to be a ‘science behind the beauty’. In light of this we chose to use HTML5, CSS3 and javascript properties to produce the desired effective solution.
‘The science’ ensured the content was presented in an accessible and usable format, whilst ‘the beauty’ was demonstrated by using leading technology in creating striking effects across the site, whether they were small features across the board on every page, the intra-page transitions or purely as a part of ensuring the site will stay current and pioneering in the future.
As with the botanist diagrams that inspire Bloom’s Victorian identity, we feel this site will remain accurate and intuitive against the test of time.
Our design approach used an “aesthetic DNA” with fundamental rules for typography and layout to allow the site to gracefully degrade regardless of which platform or device it sits.
The end product boldly yet beautifully offers a current client or potential new connection a smooth and seamless background on Blooms’ identity, work ethics, current clients and importantly their intuitive use of the ever changing digital world as a means of conversation.
